Casoli Pinta

Casoli di Atri, a small village of about 1500 inhabitants, tenaciously linked to their land, their traditions, their culture.

It has origins already in Roman times, thanks to its strategic position with the Castellum on the port.

The peculiarity of this small village are the murals.

In 1996, indeed, the village came back to life thanks to the exhibition of mural painting Casoli Pinta, which has raised up here famous painters who have covered the outer walls of the houses with works of art, making the views more suggestive and transforming the small old town into an open-air museum where the protagonist is the Art.

Casoli Pinta is just a 25-minute drive from Hotel Florida!

Trekking

Hiking is one of the best ways to discover or rediscover a territory because we can walk without rushing, relaxing in a natural, healthy environment. Moreover, hiking has a positive impact on all body functions, especially the cardiovascular system, which is why it is so popular today.

Thanks to its remarkable biodiversity and rich presence of natural landscapes, protected for decades, Abruzzo is particularly suited to this kind of activity.

Ancient routes once used by shepherds (‘tratturi’), monks, hermits, and travellers, connecting historic and religious sites, can now be rediscovered by explorers and aficionados of all ages.

The many protected areas, including parks and reserves, offer new routes and opportunities for learning about amazing Abruzzo

The Abruzzo mountain shows its variety. A superb nature, a wide and bright landscape distinguish this stretch of Abruzzo. Historically famous, the Piano delle Cinque Miglia and the "Quarti" represent one of the most complex karst plateaus of the Apennines.

The 105th Giro d'Italia will start on 6 May 2022: from Budapest to Verona until 26 May.

The Giro d'Italia 2022 will be characterised by a large number of stages that are difficult to interpret, open to attacks from afar and therefore allow different interpretations by the peloton.

The Giro d’Italia is more than ‘just’ a sporting event: it’s also a journey through the landscape, the territory and the regional communities of a wonderful country.
